Telly Mac & LV Tha Don both grew up in San Francisco, CA in the Fillmore district. Telly Mac & LV Tha Don grew up together not only because there from the same area but, because there moms hung out as well. Telly Mac explains how his dad was never around but his brothers dad was. He eventually met his biological dad once he was 35 years of age. LV Tha Don had a similar experience not having his dad around but his step dad was around to give him words of wisdom and try to set an example for him.
They both explain how Fillmore had a big influence on San Francisco and the Bay Area music scene with rappers such as, Rappin 4 Tay, JT the Bigga Figga, Messy Marv, San Quinn, Andre Nickatina, Big Rich etc. The list can go on for days. LV Tha Don & Telly Mac came up with there group name Diamond Gang because they view themselves as DIamonds that have been through a lot in this life time and still shine bright.
