Lil 9 - Artist out of Pasadena, CA

 Lil 9 talks about having both parents and how his dad was a big factor in his life at a early age. His dad being apart of the gang activities which led him to getting shot and messing up his leg permanently. His dad getting shot really opened his eyes to see the streets first hand for what they were and helping him realize thats not the route he wanted to take. He also had his mom who was a hard worker and leading by example for Lil 9. He mentions how his mom is a strong believer in having a couple sources of income and working hard in order to do and have things. Her hard working ethic definitely rubbed off on him due to the fact he works hard and takes his craft serious. A big part of Lil 9 staying on track and away from the streets was playing sports.
